Almost Go Time!!!

Our last activity at the JW Marriott was to walk over to the Pizza Hut across the street.  I was shocked that it was packed full of families! These glasses are filled with- hot water.  Yes, before my served hot water is the norm here. I actually love it, but the boys have not been amused by this. Yesterday Evan said, “I just want some cold water!!!” :)

Yesterday we changed hotels nd met the rest of our group.  Seems simple enough.  The JW Marriott assured us we would fit in one taxi for the 8 minute drive- and we did, with Ben, Evan and I sharing 1 seat and our luggage in the other two :). Tom had already connected with our guides via WeChat, So as we were trying to leave we realized that we needed to go to the bank and exchange sums of money for the adoption tomorrow. The other families already in the hotel and about to walk over. Suddenly everything felt very rushed as we realized that we had to get ready for tomorrow.  We also realized a few days prior that I should have booked a suite or two bedrooms instead of a one room hotel room, so check in lasted about 20 minutes instead of 5. We dumped our stuff in the gorgeous suite as fast as possible and Tom went with the men to exchange money while I took the boys with the other 5 moms to check out local dining and then meet up with the men at the Carrefour to do some shopping. It was all a blur as the boys were about done at that point, so hopefully our guide can give us a second run down later.  At the Carrefour we grabbed a cart and loaded it with snacks, the boys each got a small toy, and we bought the brand of formula we heard Yun Ying drinks :)   By now it was 530 and the boys were very done. Luckily the suite came with the executive lounge access so we went upstairs and quickly had some noodles.  We went back to our room and - the hall smelled like smoke. We quickly realized they had booked us on a smoking floor. Sooo back to the desk, luckily another suite was open, and we repacked and unpacked one more time.  Now it is Monday morning at 6:40am - in three hours we are going to meet our girl!! My sweet friends threw me a “sprinkle” the week before we left and suddenly Gemma Yun Ying has a room full of gorgeous things- we brought a few along for her here:
